and I should get my camera back next wednesday. Man I feel nekid without it...kwim?

I want to buy a new camera this summer and I was looking at the Canon 50D but then a friend of mine who is a professional photographer told me to get the new Rebel that comes out next month. It has most of the 50D in it in the latest Rebel body. Including video which the 50D doesn't have. The other thing that I thought about was the next Canon up ($2700.00) which I would really like to have, but I am thinking, for the price, I might take his advice and wait a while. The thing with the next one up is that the lenses are seriously expensive because they are all image stabilized. If I buy theRebel now, I can afford a couple of image stabilized lenses, and then in a couple years have a few and buy the better camera.

I just bought a Rebel in February at Circut City. I got the older one, I think it retails for about $600. I got it for $500 because Circut City was closing. The cool thing is that it came with an image stabilizer lense. I want to get a distance lense and a zoom lense but that will come in time. I think I would get the distance one first. I decided to get the older one because it has most of the features that the newer rebels have, holds the same lenses that they hold but it was less expensive.

That sounds like a good plan, Linda!!! I had a Minolta and since traded it in for a Sony. Since Minolta cameras were bought out by Sony.

I really love my Sony and plan to use it until it dies or until I learn more about photography and outgrow it. Laughing Which may be a long while...

Can't wait to see what you get!!
